Afternoon Visit to May Place

After shopping in Bar Harbor Papa, Mom and Lena Rose went to May Place to visit Rosie, Dee and
Oma.

Lena Rose got a big kick out of playing with Papa and Oma.

And playing 'High Five' with Papa.

And after an apple from a May Place apple tree she practiced making raspberries.

Bar Harbor

Today, we did the tourist thing and went shopping in Bar Harbor. When we stopped for lunch, not only did Mom & Dad enjoy a local beer neither of us had heard of, but we also found a little taste of home!

Sickness

Lena had not been feeling well the last few days, but last night we had a bit of scare when her fever spiked to 103 degrees. Luckily, we were able to bring it down with a lukewarm bath and some tylenol so we didn't have to drive to the emergency room in Ellsworth.

Now Momma and Poppa are feeling sick too. Boo.

Southwest Harbor

Today was a beautiful day in downtown Southwest Harbor. Unfortunately many folks were without power after the big storm blew through, but we still managed to find a place serving up some lobster rolls! Aunt Evee even manged to bake an apple crisp on the grill (since the oven was electric, it wasn't an option) with apples blown off the trees overnight.

Rock beach

Today, we walked down to the rock beach near Mayplace. Hurricane Irene made it rather soggy today, but after the drought and heat in Texas, it's a welcome change!

Saturday in Maine

Today Lena met her great-grandparents, Rosie and DaDee at Mayplace. Then we went on a hike around Jordan pond with Uncle Owen and our soon-to-be Aunt Evee and Oma. Tea and popovers with the whole family followed. Yummy!

Mt Desert Island

Arriving on the island is one exhausted baby! She's sleeping the backseat and missed this beautiful view.
